The image above depicts a MEMS smart garment. These tiny MEMS sensors can be woven into various clothing or affixed to devices, sports equipment, etc., allowing for more accurate motion capture of human or object performance. This accuracy enables the system to provide highly precise visual presentations with audio instructional comments from a computer or humanoid robot.
There is significant potential to offer reasonably priced “smart garments” in the form of stylish athletic gear that can capture a person’s motion and connect them with expert advice. However, this area remains largely undeveloped.
